Incedo and Motum

The latin word 'incedo' means "to move forward, to awake, march, go, enter into". In contrast, the verb 'moveo' (moti, motum) means "to move, arouse, affect, influence"

This New Year is an example of both in the lives of Heather and I - a sort of synthesis of the two ideas. There is the physical movement emphatic in the militaristic term Incedo; we march for Waterloo tomorrow - while there is also the spiritual impetus, a calling to be with a group of Christians and work alongside them. We have been moved, and we are moving - one is entirely refreshing, the other, exhausting.

Please pray for us crazy Andersons - mostly that Christ would be exalted in our time here on earth. That wherever we move to, he would move us.
